Andres is a Managing Director with Rubicon Capital Advisors (“Rubicon”) and is based in the Chile office. Andres leads Rubicon’s efforts in the Southern Cone.

Andres has been working for the last 10 years as an M&A and project finance banker having held senior positions at Citi, BBVA and Scotiabank. During his tenure as a banker, he has financed projects with a total Capex of over US$ 3.5Bn and provided financial advisory service for a total transaction value of over US$ 3Bn.

Andres has successfully led the most innovative transactions in Latam such as the largest project bond ever issued (Interchile 144 A Reg S US$1.2Bn), the first USPP for a portfolio of PMGD projects in Chile and the acquisition of a water utilities portfolio in Chile.

Before becoming a banker, Andres worked as an M&A and project finance attorney for 10 years. Andres holds a J.D. from Universidad Católica Argentina, an MSc in Finance from Universidad del CEMA, an LL.M from Duke University School of Law and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University). Andres is a frequent speaker at Energy and Infrastructure conferences in Latam. He is a correspondent for the Butterworths Journal of International Banking & Financial Law and has published over 30 articles on legal and financial matters.
